Basically, the fragrance gets better and better throughout the whole process, albeit slowly, and especially from the second hour. Although the synthetic is still present then, it is no longer disturbing, or even shapes the scent character in a positive sense. The now clear aquatic character enters into a harmonious symbiosis with the unusual spice citric of the Wanted mixture. Very extraordinary, and therefore at least worth testing for all those who like rich aquatic as well as aromatic synthetic scents like Wanted. Because the combination of these two directions is really unusual, even if not mine. A flanker of a flanker. Yeah, these are the times we live in. Luxury (problem) or bullshit? Let everyone decide for themselves. Personally, I like completely new releases more and more and would like to see more quality instead of quantity, more courage as a habit, more genius as a brand, that more time is taken and more daring and thinking is done. Do this attitude and the bad experiences with superfluous flankers change something about the fact that I like "AdG Absolu Instinct" very much? No! I am not surprised by the better rating compared to the predecessor Absolu. Nevertheless, I consider the predecessor to be too badly rated. But the tastes are very subjective, especially for perfumes! Acqua di Giò Absolu Instinct was released in 2019 right after a year of Acqua di Giò Absolu. As the name says, these two fragrances have a lot in common. He begins his own and ends his own, his kinship can be guessed at most, and yet he has completely convinced me with his citric-fruity beginning and elegant-warm, slightly maritime-fruity ending appearance, which at no time seems overloaded or intrusive.

The versatility for Absolu is perhaps its biggest selling point. While it seems like it’d be one strictly for the summertime, it can actually fit in during any time of the year. So, guys who are looking for an all purpose scent, should give this one consideration. The fragrance opens with a bright zesty punch of Italian fruits, effortlessly combined with marine notes for a fresh, oceanic hint. A spicy undercurrent runs through the heart of the scent, lending a hint of intrigue and depth. From the first spritz to the dry-down, it maintains a consistent narrative, moving smoothly from the opening citrus notes to the earthy base of ebony, creating a journey that is both engaging and enduring. It is a legend and always will be in my eyes. If you have already sniffed it, you know what I am talking about. It is a great deal with the price that it is offering.

Review of Acqua di Giò Absolu Instinct

Another interesting aspect of this cologne is the herbal undertones that peak through during the wear. It doesn’t seem to be consistently there, but I catch distinct rosemary, at times and it plays off really nice in this aquatic fragrance.

If you want an intense or darker version of Acqua di Giò Absolu, this one is for you. The opening is fresh and aquatic like Absolu but the citrusy notes are more prominent. Even the woody tone is much more noticeable than in Absolu. The fragrance starts with a blast of grapefruit and sea notes. Straight from the beginning, it smells exactly like Acqua di Gio Absolu. Upon the opening smell, Absolu immediately smells familiar to me, and has quite a bit of overlap with Invictus Aqua. Namely, the share the woody notes, marine aspects, and grapefruit. However, despite its versatility, the fragrance might not be suited for all seasons. Its prominent woody and citrusy notes work wonderfully in the freshness of spring and the crisp air of fall, but they might feel a bit out of place in the heat of summer or the chill of winter.

It is also versatile in terms of when it can be worn. It can go casual or for something to wear at the office or out for an evening on the town. One thing that is very noticeable in this fragrance is the salty ambergris. It enhances the sea notes by giving the taste it needs. Sillage: stronger and clearer than the original, just adapted to current standards - but now also no total screamer! Durability: lasts long, the last third / the base is only very discreet - 7 hours. Hello folks, here I am again and describe the newest fragrance of a actually beautiful fragrance series, of which I was disappointed by last year's Flanker and could not believe what Armani had brought out. We are talking about the Acqua di Giò series, which in itself is very beautiful, but with the fragrance Acqua di Giò Absolu had reached the absolute (ho ho wordplay! :D) low point, at least in my opinion. Acqua di Giò Absolu is a very masculine fragrance and in my opinion for all age groups. I would recommend this fragrance just people who own few fragrances or those who are just starting to wear perfumes.
